Since January 2024, Apple has been selling its flagship mobile phone, the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which was released in September 2023. Samsung, on the other hand, released its latest flagship mobile, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, on January 19, 2024. The S24 Ultra has several advantages over the iPhone 15 Pro Max, particularly in terms of AI integration. Now, AI can translate conversations in real time, create transcripts and summaries, and perform a range of functions in photo and video editing. Additionally, AI can optimize battery usage.




Both the iPhone 15 Pro Max and S24 Ultra use nano SIM with eSIM support. While the iPhone 15 Pro Max can support maximum 4K 60fps video recording, the Galaxy S24 Ultra now has 8K 30fps support and 4K 120fps support. Interestingly, the iPhone 15 Pro Max now allows recording video directly to an external storage device using a 10Gbps 3.2 USB type-C port, which also has display link capabilities. Apple uses its Bionic 3nm processor, while Samsung uses the Qualcomm 4nm processor. The iPhone 15 Pro Max uses NVME storage, while the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra uses UFS 4.0 storage.




Network: Both galaxy S24 ultra and iPhone 15 pro max has GSM / CDMA / HSPA / EVDO / LTE / 5G network technology.

Body Size: The thickness of iPhone 15 pro max is only 8.3 mm where Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has 8.6 mm thickness. The height of iPhone 15 Pro Max is 159.9 mm and the height of S24 Ultra is 162.3 mm. Width of iPhone 15 Pro Max is 76.7 mm and Galaxy S24 Ultra has 79 mm width. Finally the weight of iPhone 15 Pro Max is 221g and the weight of S24 Ultra is 233g.

Build: The iPhone 15 Pro Max has a Glass front (Corning-made glass), glass back (Corning-made glass), and titanium frame (grade 5). Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has a Glass front (Gorilla Glass Armor), glass back (Gorilla Glass) and titanium frame.



Display: The iPhone 15 Pro Max has 6.7 inches, 110.2 cm2 (~89.8% screen-to-body ratio) LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED, 120Hz, HDR10, Dolby Vision, 1000 nits (typ), 2000 nits (HBM) display which has 1290 x 2796 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio (~460 ppi density).

Samsung S24 Ultra has 6.8 inches, 113.5 cm2 (~88.5% screen-to-body ratio) Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X, 120Hz, HDR10+, 2600 nits (peak) display with 1440 x 3120 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio (~505 ppi density).



Chipset, CPU and GPU: Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max uses 3nm Bionic A17 Pro chipset. Samsung S24 Ultra uses Qualcomm SM8650-AC 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.

Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max has a 6 core CPU where 2 core has 3.78 GHz clock speed and another 4 core has 2.11 GHz clock. On the other hand Samsung S24 Ultra has a 8 core CPU with a single core 3.39 GHz Cortex-X4, 3 core 3.1 GHz Cortex-A720, 2 core 2.9 GHz Cortex-A720 and 2 core 2.2 GHz Cortex-A520.

Apple uses 6 GPU core which is integrated with the CPU and Samsung using Adreno 750 GPU.

Memory and Storage: iPhone 15 Pro Max comes with 8GB RAM and 256/512/1TB NVMe storage variants. Samsung S24 Ultra has 12GB RAM and 256/512/1TB UFS 4.0 storage variants.
